But not everyone is going to like who you are and the stuff you do isn't allowed on the forums (except here or any other troll site/freedom of speech site). Sometimes people do have to change to get more respect.

Of course you can be yourself, but if being yourself means that you flame other people from time to time, other people may also flame you, and not necessarily only the specific people you flame but also their friends as well.

If someone doesn't flame you back after you flame them, it may be because they pity you, or it may be because they just aren't the sort of person who goes around flaming people.  I don't usually go around flaming people, but I do if I think they have pushed me far enough.


Or they are better than that and want to be better than him.

True.

When it becomes obvious to me someone is just looking for a fight or they are being a brick wall or acting stupid, I find them not worth it. Same as when someone is being rude and nasty to me, I ignore them, that's what I do these days. I sometimes think people play dumb on purpose to give you a hard time. To me it ain't worth it. I bet they do it to piss you off. They full well know what you are saying and understand but decide to say irrelevant things and pretend to not get what you are saying when it's obvious and clear what your post is about. I also think some people deliberately take things out of context what you say just for a fight and to be mean and bully you.

Some people just want a fight so they troll that way. Better to ignore them than wasting your time talking to them.

I think it's too bad that you can't take at least some of what has been said on board, because looking for another forum isn't going to fix the problems you have been having.  There are people here who actually like you and who are not saying these things for their own amusement.
