seriously im getting desperate now :(

"failed to initialize renderer" shows now, and none of my games work
fallout worked 10 minutes ago, now i get renderer error, and it wont even open
tried my other games, and they too crash upon startup with the same message :(

i havent added or removed anything, and suddenly everything is falling apart. does anybody know what this means?
i find some threads elsewhere, but theyre dated to 2005, and the fixes they link to no longer work, besides they all have in common that they just installed the game.
i have played the games fine, untill now, they all wont work :S

Maybe it's time to take up Chess? 

I'm no technical wizard, but could it be something very simple like a button pressed or a switch turned that shouldn't be?  End of my expertise.

thing is, if i had just gotten and installed the games, then it would be a matter of updating drivers etc, but i _have_ played all of these _fine_, and NOW theyre all dying on me, and i havent done anything new :S the graphics card is brand new, its driver is brand new, my directx is brand new

i dont understand why im getting these errors now :(

Dumb question.  could it be something battery-like in your computer that's not letting the juice in?  I dunno.

i tried to downgrade my ATI driver, cus several people claimed that the latest driver actually killed some of the older games,
but now my card isnt even recognized "cannot find hardware"
this has all gone to hell :(

you think virus may be at fault? ill do a virus scan...

goddamnit i actually found trojans in my system restore, but im gonna betcha that cleaning that out wont solve a thing.
thats just how my luck usually goes :(
cleaning from safe mode now, and system restore off. at least im getting rid of a virus  ::)

and i dont even browse porn :(
