why is it that some people wave.  and almost all the elderly people wave?

I have almost NEVER seen anyone except young folks
honk and wave at random people.

when i drive somewhere with my kids we always play the let's make a new friend game.

what we do is anytime we someone on foot, i honk and we all wave.

i gotta say, most people aren't very friendly.
old people will usually wave back.  black people seldoms wave back.  all the other races and sexes are pretty equal at about 33% friendly.

I wouldn't wave back. fucking weirdos.

even if we were smiling?

how can you reject an earnest grin?

if you were smiling....I would think you were mocking me, somehow.
no one smiles at me for no reason.

When I was walking to college once this car drove up along the road next to me, slowed down, and some guy leaned outta the window and wacked me on the back of the head  :lol:

When people honk at me or something, I assumee they're laughing at me or taking the piss, so I don't do anything and just feel like an idiot. maybe it's my social anxiety. I smile at people I walk past tho. I mean I trry to be friendly. Except teenagers. If they are teenagers then I just keep my head down (or up, if I'm trying to look confident  ) and walk past

the problem with cars is that they've driven past you before you have time to think about how to react

Whenever some one honks or waves, I wave back enthusiastically. Pretending it is unthinkable that is is not meant for me. Probably not true, but, that's OK. 

Never had the wacking on the head though. Would not go down well with me.


Lately people make weird movements when seeing me in my uniform, and then open the window. They want directions. Most important street here has been broken up, the major crossroads have become inaccessible. They should pay me extra, for all my goodwill work.
