Have you ever thought to ask for your notes? Are you interested? Maybe it was because I was dx as an adult that I am so fascinated. Got to know everything :duh: ::)

I love to read what is written about me. Just finding out what impression I make is fascinating! Apparently I don't look quite  normal!

NM, that is not the case at all. You have struck me as quite an informed and knowledgeable individual . I am not sure if I read your post right, but savant skills are not a reflection of IQ, or that is my understanding. From what I have read, it is a neurological difference outside of the autism spectrum, but they are not mutually exclusive. In other words, not all autistics have savant skills, and not all savants have autism. There are cases of savantism in Down Syndrome, mental retardation and brain injury. What I find ironic but not surprising, I guess, is that I have savant like skills in language, among other things, yet I also have dyslexia.

The Wiki description : "..........one or more areas of expertise, ability, or brilliance that are in contrast with the individual's overall limitations".
