My only comfort is that the "ordinary" Roman 2000 years ago probably made many more. One can see pretty gross grammatical mistakes in Roman grafitti, for instance.

Imagine the internet is still functional or accessible in some form 1000 years from now, and some cyber-archaeologist stumbles upon this site to learn something about history and language.  Unfortunately, the only posts that survive come from Richard.

My grandfather was an air raid warden during WW2 and after the war he was actively involved in civil defense as part of his job in the heath department including gathering samples from a motoring post that measured radiation from the atomic tests.

Holy crap. I have no idea what a Bar Exam entails but it sounds like it would be intense.

On the other hand I speak Swedish, German and English, understand Norwegian, Danish and Dutch and know some rudimentary Latin, Greek, French etc  8)

I figured out while sitting in the doctor's office today that my left leg is shorter than my right.  I'm sure most people have this, but it's noticeable enough that it may be one of the reasons for my wonky knee.
