This is a weird story and I don't know how it was even possible, but...

According to my mother, *her* mother grew 2" after having her first baby...at age 26.  :orly:

Must have been around that time. And it makes sense. Ligaments weaker, because of hormones, and weight pushing on the bones in the feet. According to a shoesalesman it was common for feet to get longer, not because the feet actually grow, but, the pressure of a body over an extended time makes the foot weaker, and therefore bigger. Pregnancy would ad weight, and weakness to ligaments.
