I will stay in my apartment all day, not speaking to anyone except online!  :headbang2:

Such a good plan

Will do something similar. Though cannot avoid talking to the off-line ladies in my house.

But, there is hoping that they have had enough of socialising too today.  :asthing:

I do love to  :blah:, it's just interesting to realize at the end of a day that I haven't said a single word!

There have been moments that I wanted to call someone, and realised that I had no idea if my voice was working or not.

There have been moments that I wanted to call someone, and realised that I had no idea if my voice was working or not.

It's funny, occasionally I have spacey or stressed moments when I have to rehearse what I need to say, because I feel as if it might come out completely wrong---not in the sense of tactlessness, more as if I won't be able to retrieve the words fast enough. There was a time I went to the electronics store, needing something for my computer, and I was feeling distracted and "faraway." For my first couple of minutes in the store, I avoided catching any salesperson's eye till I felt I'd "tuned back in" to my surroundings and figured out how I was going to phrase my question. Sometimes I retreat so far into my own mind that I just don't feel up to talking to anyone. Though, people who know me would probably say, it doesn't happen nearly often enough!

Much of that sounds familiar.

Cool! I have to say, the few times this has happened, my underlying feeling has been one of discomfort at being visible to others...as if I'd come to believe I was just a floating brain and was having a bit of trouble rejoining the rest of the world.  It's hard to explain. At times I feel almost mortified by my own existence. :-\

Those 'spacey' pockets of time are hard to explain. Easing out of them can be tough, being snapped out of them can be traumatic, and then there's the days that seem consumed by them.

Yeah...once I went on the ADD meds, I became more "tightly wrapped" overall, but even after almost 22 years at my day job (to give one example), I still get "rusty" after a couple of days off, and forget to do basic things, and find it hard to get into the work mindset. Though from what I hear, most people find it hard to get back to work after time off!

I'll make it to the book store tomorrow, hopefully. I meant to visit it today but I was busy trying to locate a water leak instead.

The other week I did have that almost daily, also without taking a few days off. It would be there from letterbox to letterbox. Very annoying.

Did that "water leak" have anything to do with the  ?
