I don't know how I missed seeing this before, but my grandmother and my dad had it too.  It's hard to see them lose themselves more and more.

How's your mother doing now?

She's doing as well as can be expected, is settled in the dementia unit of a very nice nursing home.  My father recently moved there as well;
though he is in a different part of the building, he can easily visit her every day.  Sorry about your dad and grandmother.   :(

Do they live near you?

Yes, they do.  My brother was their caregiver for years, and visits several times a week.  I need to get there more often myself.
