I bought a package of twelve for the same reason and I still have 11 of them.  I did not like them at all.

Ahh.. Dr Watson loves to show how much he knowes..

The diet cola is probably sweetened with a sugar substitue which is 200 times sweeter than normal sugar.  If they changed amount to make it equivalent I don't know.  I herd they put extra junk in the diet foots to make you want them more.  I know that aspartame is made of aspargarine and some other amino acid.  I think I spelled that first amino acid wrong.  These are excititory amino acids, stimulating in nature.
