I worked on my mother-in-law's oven without turning off the power first.

If it was a gas oven it would either have turned out alright or been a blast.

It was electric, but I was lucky enough not to get electrocuted.

Managed to do something similar myself. I was changing the light switches in a flat and I forgoyt to switch the mains power off. I touched one of the wires and electrocuted myself. My hand felt like it was dead for days afterwards.

Did something similar when replacing a spotlight at the cinema. This one was about 6 metres up so I was standing on a ladder, reaching into the thing to find the bayonet socket.

I found it.

I don't like the sound of *bayonet* socket.  :zombiefuck:

"Fix bayonets and CHARGE!!"   Probably what Odeon thought he heard the light say as he tumbled to the ground.

I know that you're not. I was protecting industry terms from bad jokes by you and weakling. It didn't work.
