Both SNORECAR and F1 are pretty damn boring. NASCAR (Not A Sport Chasing Around Rednecks) has some passing, but how many times can you watch a car make the same 4 left turns?? (OK, 3 in the case of Pocono an a couple others) F1 has very little if any passing or wheel to wheel racing.

In terms of excitement, nothing beats watching Top Fuel Drag Racing in person because you get to see the whole race in front of you. There's a winner every minute or so and the sound is like nothing you've heard before. Imagine a bomb going off for 4 seconds straight. One last thing, if you watch at night, 6' flames come out of the headers which is really cool to watch if you're frying on Acid or Mushrooms.  8)

F1 is sterile, in my humble opinion.

F1 is boring too, don't get me wrong.   I just dislike NASCAR.

Drag racing is alright.   At least it is over quickly haha.   I remember watching a show on the Speed Network where they guess the 1/4 mile times of cars, then the car runs the 1/4 mile and they see who had the best guess.   I forget the name of that show, but it was interesting at times.
:P   Internets are super serious.

Ice hockey I have watched a bit. Playing hockey I kinda liked in defence but was never any good at it.

"Pass Time", i think. I remember one episode where a 17 year old kid ran a low 9 second pass on a Hayabusa.

Most Americans don't even care about the World Cup.  It would be pretty damn hilarious if the US beat England in a match.

Horses for courses. If you like the game, it's just that little bit easier to enjoy watching someone else play it on TV. Not a prerequisite though. I remember being absolutely riveted one time, watching a limited-overs cricket match between the RSA and Australia, and I don't play cricket. I'd never so much as picked up a bat in me life until I came to Australia, where a social game of cricket, using the children's equipment, seems to be the done thing after a huge lunch and a lot of drinking on Christmas Day.
