Hello,

You can call me Matarick and I am here since I read something about these forums from Asperger's Girl.  Being the red blooded 27 year old heterosexual male I am,  Fiona's recommendation to these forums has considerable weight.  I know that my 13 years using the Internet that I am more likely to get struck by lighting ten times than is to woo a stranger on the Internet. Besides I prefer to personally know women before I would want to ask her out.  Like what Chris Rock said, "Women are offered dick every day. Every woman in here … gets offered dick at least three times a week."

I thought I have been diagnosed within the Autism spectrum since the 80's.  I went through therapy from Kennedy Kreiger then went to school via the Ridge School in Maryland (I am not sure which one).  From the Ridge School, I went to Chatsworth Elementary for a few years.  Then I went through mainstream schooling and eventually got my Bachelor's diploma.

Unfortunately, I ignored most of my AS until earlier this year when I wanted to get a diagnosis since I always questioned on who was I as a person.  Fortunately, I am formally diagnosed with Asperger's and I know what needs to be done with my life.  Instead of asking for social services and giving up my private assets; I try to assimilate myself into an NT world but I am no longer ashamed of my condition.

I wonder how these forums compared to 4chan or SA?  I am ready for any flaming or trolling but I try my hardest to make myself easy to love.

Like OH. MY. GOD! I TOTALLY had Aspergers in the 80's too!! Like how cool is that? See, I was like born in the 70's and I'm pretty sure I had it when I was born. Yeah, so that's just like cool. I'm way excited. We can be like best friends now.  :asthing:

i had it throughout most of the 80's as well, altho i had no idea it even existed.

apart from a single year, i experienced the entire 80's. 81-models are cool tho :zoinks:

one thing i always remembered, is identifying with autists, even hardcore ones, i felt like i knew "where they came from" :green:
