Thanks.  She's tearing apart her cuttlebone right now.  When I made squeaky, birdy noises earlier she got all alert and came to my side of the cage and actually talked to me.  I think I'll try to train her to humans again.

I have no idea where the Princess Royal got this idea from.  For about a year when she was 4 she would stand very close to the toilet bowl, arch her back and thrust her tummy forward.  And then pee in the bowl.  Then one day she started using the conventional feminine method.  Weird.
