...or is the US completely batshit crazy?  There's a serious debate as to whether creationism should be taught in science classes, kids are being tasered at school, political protesters are penned into 'free speech zones', teens who have sex with each other are branded sex offenders for life and SWAT teams are called in when someone doesn't answer the door.  It's as though the average US citizen was a paranoid psychotic.

Yes many of us are.   We really are a country divided this wackos one side the rest of us on the other we are trying but they always seem to get in power.
